Graduate Nurse Program 2019

At Frankston Private Hospital the successful candidates will be offered rotations at a combination of these specialties which include Acute Medical and Surgical, Oncology Day Infusion Centre, Theatre and Recovery.

The RN-Graduate Nurse Program in 2019 offers the following:

  • Alignment with the University of Tasmania‚Äôs Clinical Honours - Transition to Practice Degree.
  • Full scholarship to complete Bachelor of Nursing Clinical Honours (Transition to Practice). Australian Qualifications Framework level 8 degree.
  • Transition to specialisation career pathway with further scholarship opportunities for Grad Cert, Grad Dip and Masters.
  • The successful candidates will be offered rotations throughout our hospital and may include Acute Medical/Surgical, Oncology & Medical Oncology, Orthopaedics, Urology, Plastics, Theatre
  • Rotations:
    • 2 rotations of General Medical/Surgical with a potential opportunity of a 3rd specialty rotation that may be related to further post graduate studies
  • Extensive Orientation and Study Days
  • Graduate Nurse Coordinators, Educator and Preceptor support
  • Hospital Education Program
  • Full time and part time options

The EEN Graduate Nurse program in 2019 offers the following:

The Graduate Program is a fixed 12 month contract offering:

Acute Medical/Surgical, Oncology & Medical Oncology, Orthopaedics, Urology, Plastics, and Theatre

Support

  • 2 rotations of General Medical/Surgical with a potential opportunity of a 3rd specialty rotation
  • Extensive Orientation and Study Days
  • Graduate Nurse Coordinators, Educator and Preceptor support
  • Hospital Education Program
  • Full time and part time options

Australian Applicants

We welcome applications from Enrolled and Registered Nurses who are approaching graduation or recently graduated within the last six months. Before you can commence work, and therefore your graduate program, you will require registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. You can find out more about the registration process at www.ahpra.gov.au

International Applicants

We accept applications from recently graduated international registered nurses. If applying from overseas, you will still need to meet the criteria for registration as a Registered Nurse /Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. There are Registration Standards for nurses and midwives that can be very important to international graduates in relation to English language requirements The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia website provides this information.

International graduates are urged to start the registration process early (at least six months before completion of the course).

Healthscope offers the necessary visa sponsorship for international applicants who gain places in our graduate programs.

Intakes per year include February and July- all applications must include:

  • Letter of application including rationale for applying to Frankston Private Hospital Graduate Nurse Program and outlining areas of clinical interest
  • Current CV
  • Certified copy of academic transcript
  • Two certified clinical reports from recent acute clinical placements
  • Two clinical referees
  • One passport sized photo
